A born and bred Philadelphian, violinist Andreia Torain received her Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College in upstate NY, where she was taught by both Philip Clark and Debra Moree. Upon graduating, she returned home to study with Helen Kwalwasser at Temple University, where she received her Master of Music in String Pedagogy. Nowadays, she is a regular freelancer and has performed with numerous groups in Philadelphia and the surrounding communities over the years, including playing with the Philadelphia Classical Symphony, Delaware Symphony, Delaware Valley Symphony Orchestra, Newtown Chamber Orchestra, Riverside Symphonia, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, and the Fairmount Chamber Ensemble. Andreia has been on the violin faculty at Settlement Music School since 1994, where she teaches private violin lessons in both Traditional and Suzuki methods, as well as Suzuki group classes and coaches chamber music. She also serves as Suzuki Coordinator for all six of the school's branches. During her down time, Andreia gets her kicks training 2-3 days a week in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and trying out new cake and cookie recipes.
Cellist Linda Metzler has lived and played in the Philadelphia metropolitan area for over twenty years and in that performance career has appeared in many musical guises: as soloist, chamber musician, devoted continuo player (a particular favorite!) and orchestral player. She has performed across the Delaware Valley in varying venues from the Academy of Music to the Arden Theatre to smaller church spaces and outdoor theater. Highlights of her career have been the 2009 production of Bach's St. John Passion with the St. John Players, Vaughan Williams' Symphony No. 6 with the Reading Symphony and Ash Lawn Highland Opera Festival's production of My Fair Lady. Metzler is also cellist of the Philadelphia based Fairmount String Quartet. A graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory and Temple University, she credits her studies with Kenneth Lurie, Allen Whear, William Averitt, Lambert Orkis, Luis Biava, Jan Kryzwicki and Jeffrey Solow as having been exceptionally formative and inspiring.
Also a private cello teacher of twenty-five years, Linda currently teaches at Ursinus College and out of her home studio in Conshohocken where she lives, plays and nurtures an enduring interest in jazz.

Elise Auerbach has performed around the world and enjoys an active and diverse career as a collaborative artist. Performance highlights include Carnegie Hall Weill Hall, solo appearances with the Temple University and Delaware Symphonies, live broadcasts on Cincinnati Public Radio WGUC, and chamber music tours in Germany. She has participated and performed at festivals in Japan, Italy, Canada, and the United States. Elise enjoys all forms of collaborative piano, performing frequently in recital with instrumentalists and singers, and often serves as music director for local opera companies. Past positions include pianist for the Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia, the Savoy Company, Faculty Pianist for the ASTA Summer Conference for String Education/Chamber Music, and Artist-in-Residence at Cheyney University. A graduate of Temple University and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Elise is currently a member of the Vocal Coaching Faculty at Temple University and pianist for Symphony in C.
